A Sensory Education. A Personal History of the Female Nude in Painting

«Although this book is called A Sensory Education, what it narrates, to be more precise, is the double experience of an adolescent who discovers in art what life has not yet offered him, and of an adult who, after the passing of time, evokes a very particular learning experience which for him was, in many senses, magical. The book’s subtitle is also fitting, as the narration simultaneously implies a reflection on eroticism and an authentic history of the nude in painting, at all times constructed from the subjective experience of the narrator.»
